Several Nigerian Banks including Afribank, Union Bank of Nigeria and Citibank have installed TelexTester, our popular PC based testkey package to eliminate intercepted client payment instructions and cheques from fraudulent alteration at the bank's expense.
TelexTester, a comprehensive networked multi user application is supplied with TelexTester 'Lite', thereby enabling the bank to computerise their existing inter bank testkey requirements as well as the ability to generate an unlimited number of restricted subsets for free distribution to their corporate client base.
TelexTester 'Lite' can reflect the local language and is configured to prompt the client for a number of bank specific prompts including the beneficiary name, beneficiary bank account details, cheque number, date, currency and amount. The calculated testkey number is then applied to the payment order or written on the reverse of the clients cheque for verification by the bank on presentation at the branch, thereby authenticating legitimate instructions, detecting altered instructions as well as eliminating the tedious and time consuming client call back procedure..
